Remove AI chat, added by vela enable ai.

Syntax

$ vela disable ai

Options

  • -y, --yes - Skip the confirmation prompt

What it removes

  • src/lib/server/ai.ts, the /api/chat endpoint and its server test
  • The /ai demo page, whether it is in (public) or (app)
  • The API key and its # AI SDK heading from .env
  • The ai, @ai-sdk/svelte, @ai-sdk/openai and @ai-sdk/anthropic packages, whichever are installed

It works whichever provider you chose. Directories left empty, such as src/routes/api/chat, are removed too.

What it leaves

  • zod and the button and textarea components — other code may use them
  • Code of your own that imports $lib/server/ai or the AI SDK, which stops compiling once they are gone
  • The API key on your deploy targets. Remove it with vela env unset.
