# WhatsApp

Remove WhatsApp sign-in, added by [`vela enable whatsapp`](/enable/whatsapp).

### Syntax

```
$ vela disable whatsapp
```

### Options

- `-y, --yes` - Skip the confirmation prompt

### What it removes

- The code page (`/whatsapp/[token]`) and `src/lib/server/whatsapp.ts`
- The WhatsApp option on the login and signup pages, which go back to the pages [`vela enable auth`](/enable/auth) wrote. Pages you changed after enabling WhatsApp are left as they are and reported as failed.
- WhatsApp sign-in in PocketBase, turned off by a migration so your deploys follow

### What it leaves

- The `phone` and `phoneVerified` fields on `users`, and `email` stays optional: they hold your users' data. Remove them in the PocketBase dashboard if you no longer need them.
- Users who signed up with a phone number keep their accounts, but cannot log in until they have an email and password.
- The sender env vars on your deploy targets — remove them with [`vela env`](/env)
